Government of the Republic of Croatia and the World Bank signed the Advance Agreement for Preparation of Proposed Second Science and Technology Project Preparation Advance No. IBRD P4640-HR (STP II) and Ministry of Science, Education and Sports has nominated Members of Steering Committee (SC) and Members of Approval Committee (AC) of the UKF
 
After succesfully accomplished Science and Technology Project (STP I), Government of the Republic of Croatia and the World Bank signed the Advance Agreement for Preparation of Proposed Second Science and Technology Project Preparation Advance No. IBRD P4640-HR (STP II).

The Unity Through Knowledge Fund (UKF) will continue supporting excellent collaborative research with Croatian scientists living abroad and leading international scientific institutions; fostering professional advancement of young researchers (at doctoral and postdoctoral level), fostering industry and academia collaboration as well as improving conditions in private and public R&D sector to raise absorption capacity for EU funds, especially Structural and Horizon 2020.

During the phase of Preparation Advance of Proposed Second Science and Technology Project (PPA), the Fund is planning to open first calls for proposals and start with the selection procedure while the financial resources for the implementation of UKF programs will be available when Proposed Second Science and Technology Project is signed and becomes effective.

Ministry of Science, Education and Sports which holds general responsibility for  Preparation Advance of Proposed Second Science and Technology Project, in order to manage „Unity Through Knowledge Fund“, has nominated two committees with strictly separated duties: Steering Committee (SC) and Approval Committee (AC).
 
Members of Steering Committee (SC) of the UKF are as follows:

2. Darko Huljenić, Ph.D. (Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d., Zagreb)
3. Krunoslav Kovačević, Ph.D. (Galapagos Research Centre Zagreb Ltd, Zagreb)
4. Prof. Astrid Krmpotić, Ph.D. (University of Rijeka, School of Medicine)
5. Bojan Žagrović, Ph.D. (University of Vienna, Max F. Perutz Laboratories, Vienna)
6. Prof. Kristian Vlahoviček, Ph.D. (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science)
 
Members of Approval Committee (AC) of the UKF are as follows:
